Patients with UC who received a once-daily dose of mesalamine had 32% fewer relapses than those taking three pills a day, according to a study presented at the 2011 Digestive Disease Week meeting in Chicago. The reason less is more, in this case, has more to do with human behavior than medical efficacy.
