Small, irrelevant words such as "and" and "or" are not included in the search algorithm, even though they may appear in bold face in the blurbs beneath the article titles in search results.

It's on our task list—but not high on the list—to stop them from appearing in bold. Meanwhile, be aware that they are not influencing your search results.

(For the techies among you: The Boolean operator AND is assumed. The operators OR and NOT function as expected, to broaden a search or to exclude the following word from queries, respectively.)
